Funding Available for NSW Opti Sailors – Nationals Hobart 2026

Are you (or your child) aged 12–18 and competing in the Optimist National Championships in Hobart this January?

You may be eligible for the Local Sporting Champions Grant through the Australian Sports Commission.

✔ Financial support of $500 per athlete

✔ Extra travel allowance for long distances (up to +$200)

✔ Additional $50 if you live in a rural electorate

Application deadline:31 October 2025

Successful applicants will be notified from December 2025 – just in time to help with Nationals expenses.
