Australian Optimist Team Racing Championship 2026
TEAM NSW SELECTION PROTOCOL
NSWIODA will have the opportunity to enter 5 teams of Open Fleet sailors to the AOTRC to be raced on 9 January 2026. Participation in the AOTRC is a requirement to qualify for the AOST to attend the IODA World or Continental Championships.
NSWIODA will select teams to represent NSW based sailor rankings based on the progressive NSW State Championship Grand Prix pointscore up to the SORS regatta (excluding each sailors worst event result). That is rankings will be determined by the best two of:-
- East Coast Championship
- ACT Championship
- Summer Optimist Regatta- Sydney
Sailors will be notified of selections by Friday 19th December.
